Admissions Process

Tuition

Tuition for the 2024-2025 school year:

• Kindergarten - $9,500

• Lower School (1st-5th) - $10,500

• Middle School (6th-8th) - $11,750

We offer a sibling discount of 10% for the youngest sibling(s) in each family.

Annually students are charged an extracurricular fee of $200 plus a student fee of $325. The extracurricular fee covers all athletics and extracurriculars. The student fee covers the costs associated with school supplies and single-day field studies.  Overnight field study costs are not included in that fee.  Tuition payment plans are available. HDS is also an approved recipient of NC opportunities and disabilities grant.

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE

Financial assistance in the form of grants for tuition may be offered based on available funding for qualifying students. Families in need of financial assistance should contact the school business office for additional information. HDS is also an approved recipient of NC opportunities and disabilities grants.
