Our new planner will begin next week!

For the week of September 28th-October 2nd

Zebranie Parents,

Your children are busy working on their summative projects for the Living History Museum.   Please review the summative project criteria worksheet in the Program of Inquiry notebook.

I gave the students suggested deadlines for this project.  Students should have finished questions 1 through 6 at this time.   Question 7 should be completed tonight.  We will cite the three sources used for research tomorrow.  Students should bring all materials needed to cite their resources.  Question 8 should be completed Friday.  Over the weekend, students should write a draft of their speech in paragraph format.  The speech should include the information gained by completing questions 1-8 and the beliefs and values worksheet. Students must include how society’s beliefs and values changed due to the leader’s actions.  The beliefs and values of a society are altered due to the progression and success of a political or social movement.  In addition, students must be able to answer the following questions on Monday.

 “What costume will I wear?”

“What props will I need to bring to school or make?”

Assignments are located in your child’s agenda.  Please check it daily. If your child is unable to complete an assignment after working for an hour, please write me a note.  Your child will not be penalized.  Again, the summative project due dates are guidelines.  I am not grading assignments now.  Suggested due dates are provided to prevent a breakdown this weekend or next week.  Students may start on their posters after questions 1-8 have been answered.  Next week, students will complete their poster, revise, edit, and practice their speeches.  Speeches should be finished by Tuesday.  Posters must be completed by Wednesday. The entire project is due Thursday.  Students will be given the opportunity to change into their costume (if needed) on Thursday for presentations.  Projects will be presented to Grandparents and family on Friday.

Please contact me if you have further questions. I look forward to seeing you during presentations next Friday.
