Parents' Association : Who We are

The Hickory Day School Parents' Association (HDSPA) sponsors numerous events that are all about fun and fellowship while supporting the HDS mission to enrich our children's educational experience, to strive for attainment of International Baccalaureate Organization guidelines, and to remain financially sound. We are a small but enthusiastic school family and there's always lots to do. Every parent is sure to find ways to contribute time and talents.

Parents' Association meetings are held monthly to plan upcoming events and discuss ways to support the overall school program. All parents are invited to attend.

Among the events sponsored by the HDSPA are the following:

Ice Cream Social before school starts each fall
Annual Fund Covered Dish Supper
Grandparents' Day
Turkey Bowl (faculty/student football game)
Thanksgiving Celebration
Faculty Appreciation Activities
Spring Olympics
Fundraisers - Determined annually
