Community Support
Many businesses offer programs designed to help you support Hickory Day School through
the purchases you make every day. When you participate in these programs, the business
returns a portion of the cost of your purchase to the school.
An ongoing partnership with Lowes Foods makes Lowes Foods gift cards in increments of
$25, $50, $100, $250, and $500 available for purchase through Hickory Day School. Buyers pay face
value for the card and redeem the card at full value at any Lowes Foods location.

The HDS Parents' Association has established a relationship with Yellow Brick Mall that
allows families and friends of Hickory Day School to shop online at hundreds of stores
and a percentage of each sale is donated to the school. Check it out at

When you shop at the Yellow Brick Mall, all sales and credit card transactions are carried
out directly with the online merchants. Only the amounts of purchases from each retailer
are tracked and provided to the mall. No personal information of any kind, including credit
card information, is shared with Yellow Brick Mall.
Green Campus Building Plan
A major component of the Hickory Day School Go Green initiative is the 10-year Green
Campus Building Plan for using our natural and economic resources to construct sustainable
buildings and practice native landscaping.
We invite contributions from individuals or businesses in support of our master development
plan and Phase I of construction.
While our 10-year plan is being developed, HDS students, faculty, and staff are Going Green

Diversity Scholarship Fund
An appreciation for diversity is at the heart of who we are as families and friends of
Hickory Day School. We often say we are "proud to be an International Baccalaureate world
school" and recognizing and valuing diversity is central to our philosophy of living and

The Diversity Scholarship Fund was established in 2008. Contributions to the Diversity
Scholarship Fund make it possible for a greater number of children and families who value
our school's academic rigor and multidisciplinary curriculum to join the HDS family.
Fundraisers
The Hickory Day School family is known for its participation in all school activities,
including fundraising. The HDS Parents Association sponsors a number of fundraisers each
year that help to underwrite the cost of the quality education we provide. Click here to
