Music Lessons

Piano

Mrs. Debbie Christian, our HDS music instructor, offers after-school, private piano lessons at Hickory Day School for $75 per month (plus the cost of books). Lessons are thirty minutes per week, and students should plan to practice one to three hours per week. Younger students/siblings may split lessons if that option best meets their needs. Students will perform in a spring recital!

Orchestra and Band

Ms. Diana Stone, a former orchestra and band instructor, is offering 45-minute lessons for $12 per lesson per student to all age groups. Parents who participate in the lessons and who assist with keeping the room settled can take free lessons! Tuition is payable at the beginning of each month. These fees will be adjusted for vacation and field trips. A parent conference will be held for students who miss more than three lessons. Participating students will perform at school functions and will perform in a recital at the end of the school year!
